About the Villa

Our home, the Villa Ampella, is a traditional Tuscan style stone built 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom home that sleeps 7.

There’s a private garden and patio area with a dining table and chairs for al fresco dining.

The Villa Ampella has a shared pool that is a short walking distance from the house.

What makes us special is our hilltop location, with amazing views of the surrounding landscape and sunsets to finish off your days.

About the Area

The house is only 3km from shops and restaurants and 20 km from Valdichiana Outlet for great shopping.

The house is very well located and only 15 km away from Montalcino home to the world famous brunello di Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano , Montichiello , Monteriggioni .

Located in the Val D’Orcia valley, in the Crete Senesi, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO this is truly the magic heart of Tuscany. Cypress tress, Rolling hills filled with Vineyards and Olive Groves.

We are nestled between the hilltop villages of Montisi and San Giovanni D’asso.

San Giovanni D’Asso is a delightful hilltop town only 3kms from our home. Dating back to medieval times the village surrounds the walls of a twelfth century castle. Here you will find traditional Tuscan restaurants and shops selling the local produce. The town boasts the only truffle museum in Italy, as well as hosting an annual truffle festival in November each year. There are also two important churches; the Romanesque church, San Giovanni Battista, and San Pietro in Villare. The picturesque Tuscan town of Montisi is 4kms from our home. In August each year there is the annual jousting competition “Giostra di Simone” which sees many of the townsfolk dress up in medieval costume.
